It’s Berry Time!

We (at Greenlake Guest House) were so excited to see that our new blueberry bushes are full of ripe berries! Julie picked a few this afternoon. Hopefully we’ll have enough for breakfast in the morning!
June & July are prime berry season in Western Washington. We’ve enjoyed sweet local strawberries this month, and are looking forward to raspberries & blueberries in July! There are lots of U-pick farms just out of the city, and neighborhood farmers’ markets to buy them right in town. Some of our favorite farmers markets include the Saturday University Farmers Market, the Friday afternoon Phinney Ridge Farmers Market, and of course, the huge Pike Place Market downtown.
